BATIK
Batik is an Indonesian term. It is a very ancient technique; the first findings were made in the sacred vestments kept in the Egyptian pyramids. Starting from a fabric and a unique design, the Batik technique is performed with a pipette called Tjanting which contains liquid wax.
In the areas where it is applied, it makes the fabric impermeable to dye, and in the end, the fabric is surprisingly identical on both sides. In Bali, this technique was performed by princesses to make the emperor's clothes. The application requires a lot of concentration as the result cannot be changed.
In Bali it is said that "Those who perform the Batik technique feel their soul close to God". The finished artifact is then offered so that whoever receives it can, in turn, benefit from the same divine sensation.

Color, silk, and Batik are for me a source of life. Many of the creations you see here have already been sold or given away. I handcraft scarves, ties, cushions, and bedspreads. Each piece is unique and takes time to make.

I have participated in international fairs INDIGO in Lille (France), INTERSTOFF and HEIMTEXTILE in Frankfurt (Germany), DESIGN MARKET in the Netherlands, SURTEX in New York (USA), in Hosaka (Japan); in contemporary art group exhibitions in Italy, Belgium, Argentina, Luxembourg and Mexico
